Addiction is not
only included physical thing they consume, such as drugs or alcohol but may
include virtually anything, such as abstract things as gambling to seemingly
harmless products, such as chocolate. In other words, addiction may refer to a
substance dependence (Drugs) or behavioral addiction (Gambling and Internet).
People with an
addiction don’t have control over what they do, take or use. Their addiction
may reach a point at which it’s harmful.
A habit may develop into an addiction:
Many of us can
use substances or become engaged in activities without any significant
problems. Some people, however, may experience damaging psychological or
physical effects when their habit becomes an addiction.

With a habit you
are in control of your choices, with and addiction you can’t control your
choices.
Addiction: Physical or Psychological component; the person is unable
to control the aspects of the addiction without help because of the mental or
physical conditions involved, they are not conscious what they do.
Habit: It’s
done by choice. The person can choose to stop and will subsequently stop
successfully if they want to. The psychological or physical thing isn’t an
issue, very different with an addiction.
Addiction can
cause problems with their activities at home, work, school and social
environment. They are generally caused by a combination of Physical, mental,
circumstantial and difficult situations.
The addicted
needs larger and more regular amounts of whatever they are addicted to, in
order to receive the same effect. Often, the initial reward is no longer felt,
and the addiction continues because with drawl is so unpleasant.
Family is an
important tool for addicted, because they can support them with patient.
Signs and Symptoms of addiction.
A symptom is something the patient senses and
describes, while a sign is something other people, such as doctor, friends and
family notice. For example, in Internet addiction when people have a backache,
headaches because the usage of internet may be a symptom while too much surfing
leads to decreased productivity at work and fewer interactions with family
members may be a sign.
When a person is addicted to Internet, they are not
able to control its usage. They continue using it, even though it may cause
harm.
Internet addiction can cause cravings. The addict may
want to give up, but finds it extremely difficult to do without help.

4. Depression.
5. No sense of time.
Physical symptoms:
1. Weight gain or loss.
2. Disturbances in sleep.

4. Blurred or strained vision.
Causes of
internet addiction:
Some people become addicted to the internet because of the social connections
the make online. They have problem to have a relationship in the real life,
some online relationship activity can be useful and healthy, and many people
utilize forums for advice or chats for relaxation, but when a person has many
close online friends and no one to count on in the real world, problems can
develop.
Treatment of
internet addiction:
Internet addiction is believed to be a
largely treatable condition. When the addiction is acknowledged, a therapist or
other mental health professional can help an individual take steps to address
the behavior and regain the ability to use the Internet in a healthy way.
Internet addiction differs from some other types of addiction in that some
level of Internet use is generally necessary for function in society. Thus, the
goal of treatment is usually not complete abstinence. However, when a person is

Internet without attempting to seek out pornography.
